Dreaming of Basil

Seeing green basil with a pleasant smell and color in a dream indicates offspring. Seeing that you pull or pick the basil from the ground signifies crying and sorrow.

Hazrat Ja'far al-Sadiq said that seeing basil in a dream is interpreted in seven ways:

a) Wife,

b) Servant,

c) Friend and companion,

d) Child,

e) Beautiful speech,

f) Assembly of knowledge,

g) Good and beautiful art.

Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) also said: Seeing fresh basil with a clean scent in a dream indicates honor and dignity. Seeing basil with a pale and yellowed color is a sign of illness.

Seeing yourself selling basil in its season signifies goodness and abundance, while selling it out of season is the opposite. Likewise, seeing basil out of season or owning it in a dream indicates friendship with a person of good speech. Seeing that you pull or pick basil in a dream indicates separation from that good friend.

Seeing a pot or a stove having basil in a dream is a sign of marrying a woman.

Hazrat Ja'far al-Sadiq said that seeing royal basil in a dream is interpreted as follows:

a) Honor,

b) Dignity,

c) Children and friends,

d) Good speech,

e) Virtue,

f) A circle of knowledge,

g) Beautiful remembrance, that is, good remembrance…
